The file type is .mkv. It's Faster Pussycat: Kill, kill, kill. I want to convert the mkv to either VCD or Mpg so it will play on my DVD connected to my TV. The player will play any standard DVD and video files on CD when they are VCD or Mpg. Help!

This is seriously pissing me off. All I want to do is find a program that will convert this movie so I can burn it to a DVD or CD and watch it on my TV!
Have you tried using Nero??? Nero can convert anything. The best thing that I have ever done was buy myself a DVD recorder. I just connect my computer to it via an S-cable and was able to just record it straight. The only problem with using that, is that its all in real time.

Have you tried using DivX? I've burned many different files to DVD's from DivX, give it a try it might work.

This quite a toughie then. Maybe you should go to kimkomando.com and get some help, if you can't find it on there try calling into the radio show, it's been very helpful for me.
