Once again they are rumors floating abound about Manny be moved. Evidently he does not want to go to the Angels....but supposedly stated he wants to play in the NL. I am not sure why this guy is so hell bent on getting out of bean town, but he keeps singing this song every year. I would imagine, sooner or later the Red Sox are going to get tired of it and give him what he wants. I think the Sox are looking for a solid outfeilder/hitter and pitching in the offseason. The scuttle is that they are after Andruw Jones.....but I doubt Bobby Cox would be ok with a Manny for Andruw trade.....who would IMO?

He sure would look good in a Cardinal uniform....hitting behind Albert? Yikes!!

I am not sure why this guy is ...Ok, stop right there. Nobody, not even Manny, knows why this guy does anything.

But all of the preceding rumors will make it seem like the boy who cried wolf if he does or doesn't get traded this offseason. The guy might be a helluva' hitter, one of the all-time best, but as a ball player he doesn't impress me.

lol.....I really have not heard much about this guy other than what I have read from afar.

Yeah...but Berkman won't be coming to St. Louis to hit behind Pujols and I really want to stop having to talk about who will pitch to Albert and who will not...soooo....we'll take Manny in St. Lou in his stead:) I know he's not much of a left fielder, but then we have had Duncan over there this year and he's not much to write home about defensively....I know there's more upside to Chris as an outfielder (especailly since he never played there before this year), but......I doubt he'll ever be the hitter Ramirez is.

Protecting Pujols in this line up would be a priority in my mind....here's my mindset.....Rolen can't seem to stay healthy a whole year. His shoulder is still not right and it may never be....Edmonds, we don't even know what will happen with his health....who knows if he will ever be the Jimmy Edmonds we once knew. Duncan, well he's been a pretty solid LaRussa #2 type hitter, but he would fail miserably (at least at this point) at hitting behind Pujols instead of in front of him. So, who do you put behind Pujols? My thinking is that it has to be somebody from another team. Payroll will be drastically reduced this coming year, they should have 30-40 million free to go after a big hitter and two pitcher's. I think they should resign Mulder for that patented Cardinal blue light special price and then use the rest for another pitcher and another big bat...and of course....some bullpen help.

Resign Jimmy for another year and sign Wilson as a backup outfielder....we have a hot shot kid who should come up in the next two years to take the Center field spot over and that should signal the end for Edmonds. I'd like to see him retire a Cardinal, but who know's.

We hear this every off season and around every trade deadline. He wants to go, he wants to stay, he wants to go, he wants to stay.

Trade him or keep him...I don't care.
