Dan Marino never did it. Neither did Joe Montana. Nor John Elway. Nor Troy Aikman. Nor Peyton Manning. No, according to the Elias Sports Bureau, no quarterback in NFL history has ever opened a season with more than 1,500 passing yards and 10 touchdowns, with no more than one interception, in his team's first five games. Never happened. Not until now. Not until Donovan McNabb. Five is alive, and that faint rumbling you hear now? That's the opening melody, early as it may be, of a little ditty called "McNabb for MVP." McNabb ranks first in touchdowns, with 11. Only one other quarterback, Chicago's Rex Grossman, is in double digits. McNabb is third in that all-encompassing category of passer rating with a 107.2. Only four quarterbacks have a triple-digit rating, and only Houston's David Carr (108.9) and Kansas City's Damon Huard (107.4) are rated higher.
