I know a lot of fans have given up on Darryl but as a longtime Met fan I have not. I loved the excitement he brought to the game and although he made some really really bad choices in his life it seems that finally he has gotten himself back on the right track. Found some good sites about him with some uplifting news that he is trying to help some of the young players avoid his mistakes and like it or not he can give some good advice on how to swing a bat.
And from what I saw at the celebration at Shea in August and also opening night of the NLCS when he threw out the first ball the fans agree and are ready to welcome home Darryl.
Lets hop and pray that he stays clean and has finally found peace.
Found a great site on Darryl for anyone who is a fan of his like myself.
