An incredible job pitching. I wonder if those curve balls will stymie the Tigers offense like it did the Mets.

A great game, a great series. :clap2:

The same could be said for the Cards. They will have to deal with Verlanders curve. It looks almost unhittable when he has it working with the fastball. He reminded me alot of Gooden before the drugs.

Congrats and good luck in the WS

I'm just cheering for a 7-game match, don't care which one wins it.

It was a good series. Coming down to the final game......good baseball. I'm sad, but now, I think I'm rooting for the Cards in the WS. Go get 'em!!! :cheer: :jump:

Thanks Nanner...I'm sorry your team lost (Sincerely). I know that sucks...but I am pretty sure they will be back next your to pick up where they left off...and I don't think Omar will be sitting on his hands this winter :)

Congrats!! I wasn't very impressed with Pujols this series...:notme: He's usually better than that.

And I must give Suppan ALL OF THE PROPS IN THE WORLD for working around that Rolen error. And I have to give a lot of credit to Rolen for playing through his situation (injury/mental state [which ever is his problem], the error, and being f'ing robbed by Chavez). Buck and McCarver made it sound like he was the worst player they've ever seen. But him being on base for that HR sealed the win. Who knows if they win without that 1 out single.

Well, some of the time they walked him out right, and then moost other times they did not give him much to hit. They new their chances with Rolen and Edmonds were far better...so why take a chance with Pujols.

Suppan pitched a heck of a game...no doubt about that. Scott is a gamer, but I think there are times when maybe he has to be ok with sitting, considering the surgery he had on his shoulder. He has 5 pins in his left shoulder, it get's inflamed sometimes, and it definately does effect his ability to get around on fastball's. He slapped alot of balls into right field this year but teams started to catch on at the end of the season and started pitching him inside with heat. I really am not sure Scott will ever be the same as he was before the Chen collision (which btw I saw front and center...big time collision between two big boys). We'll see, I think next spring will be the tell tail on him.

Man, I tip my hat to the Mets. You couldn't have asked for a better NLCS. Great baseball by both teams.
