...although I'm sure we all feel like we just got punched in the stomach, I find some solace in the fact that they never gave up til the last out was recorded. The entire team played their hearts out and left absolutely everything they had on the field, which is the reason why we all love these guys so much. It's very hard for any team to lose starting pitching in the playoffs let alone their top two guys. I for one am very proud of Willie and the guys for the job that they did...



so here's to the 2006 New York Mets...

...and hopin they come back better and stonger than ever next year!

I'm sad, but I'm not devastated. Our Mets took the series to the 7th game!!! That was incredible! And it wasn't like they were embarrassed by a zillion runs by the Cards. It was a real pitcher's duel. Ollie Perez pitched a great game, Suppan pitched a better game.

And there was Endy's catch. :love2: I think Endy's here to stay. I hope so, anyway.

The Mets had a great 2006. Fantastic year. Fun year.

I am with ya, sad but not disappointed. The mets had a great year and an amazing post season. Every game was exciting and every player gave it thier all. Sure there were times ya wanted to yell at them, but these guys played with heart and soul.

I love my Mets and I love the job they did. It only makes next year even more exciting!!

I also want to say that I LOVED how we all go together on the good vibe threads. it has been a long time since everyone was pitching in to give the Mets a lil extra mojo. Good job to us as well!!!

I agree, it was awesome to get together with everyone for the good vibe threads!! It really made the playoffs that much more fun, and shows how (much like the mets) we are a very close-knit group:thumbsup:
