The bad news is they rank 15th or dead last in hitting in the NL as of April 22nd. Their pitching ranks seventh. Don't worry when they start hitting and they will they will win many games. First baseman Phil Nevin could be good for 50 or more homeruns. He improves each year. Outfielder Ryan Klesko has been getting better and better each season. San Diego suits him just fine.

29 year old pitcher Brett Tomko has a lot of promise. I think he struck out 11 or 12 batters the other day in his win.

Nevin leads the team in hitting with a .397 average and he has hit four homeruns with 14 RBI's. Klesko is batting .298 with three homeruns and rookie third baseman Sean Burroughs could be a good one. I hope Phil Nevin will take him under his wing.

Second baseman D'Angelo Jimenez leads the team in runs scored with 12. He's batting .280.

Outfielder Bubba Trammel needs to start hitting along with Mark Kotsay.

This club will be fine. Just give them time.
