By the way, the MSG Sportsdesk showed that strange baserunning error made by Jay. Stuff like that totally drives Tony nuts. I can just hear him, "HEAD IN THE GAME, JAY!!! KEEP YOUR FREAKIN' HEAD IN THE GAME, MAN!!!"

Okay, so I watched my overnight tape of the repeat of the game. I saw all that stuff. That takeout at 3rd was awesome! MAN!!! It was perfect! Beautiful.

But, Missy... you didn't mention that Johnny Valentin was on the other end of that great throw to 2nd to get Renteria out on that steal. Or that Al had a throw to 2nd to take someone out and it was wide, but Johnny Valentin kept his foot on the bag and caught the ball, and they got the out, OR that Johnny Valentin was the one who singled in the first run. (Oh. That was the beginning of the game.)

Anyhooo..... him being a career shortstop, and going in after not having played shortstop for awhile and doing all this, plus being a smart hitter... I think I've made my decision. He's my new favorite Met.:biggrin: :lust:

But then there's Jeromy Burnitz and that awesome slide, and his cool swing at the plate. :squareluv
