Right-hander LaTroy Hawkins and the Colorado Rockies finalized a $3.5 million, one-year contract Tuesday, a deal that includes a mutual option for 2008.
Hawkins was 3-2 with a 4.48 ERA for the Baltimore Orioles last season and is 54-71 with 75 saves and a 4.75 in his major league career, pitching for Minnesota (1995-2003), the Chicago Cubs (2004-05), San Francisco (2005) and Baltimore. He turns 34 on Dec. 21.
He gets a $3.25 million salary next year, and the deal includes a $3.75 million option with a $250,000 buyout.
Wow I am excited about this one. :hmm:
Man have you ever been just burnt out on everything a team does and it just makes you mad? :notme:
