I don't want A-rod here.

If A-rod went anywhere after the Yankees it would be completely out of the New York market. Maybe somewhere with Pinella.

I don't see him going to the Cubs. They have spent too much already. He would have to take a drastic pay cut. If he does opt out, I see him going somewhere out west. Maybe San Fran, dodgers, or the Angels.

I hope. :-)

He'll never be recognized for being a good player in New York. He could hit .400 and the NY fans would still complain about him not getting a hit in 6 of every 10 at bats. He won't go to the Mets (thankfully) and the Cubbies can't afford him. He seems to need to be on a team that has a manager who will be willing to nurture him instead of treating him like the unloved adopted child.

A lot of people are saying he'll end up on the Angels.

They're not starting to love him in the Bronx! The man could hit a HR in every game for the rest of the month and the Yanks fans will still get on him because he is doing it in April and not October

I think he needs to get out of the big market to be fully appreciated. Plus, I'd rather play him at SS and we know that wouldn't happen on the Mets!

Why is he all of a sudden hitting so many home runs in April? More than DiMaggio, Gehrig, Mantle, etc. In fact, more than another player in baseball history except one (Mike Schmidt)?? Is he trying to win over New York fans?? (As previously stated, that doesn't happen in April.) Is he putting on such a display for a potential transfer?? Or is it for some "other" reason?? Makes one wonder.....

A-Rod used to be one of my favorite players in the game. But because of the uniform he now wears, I'm obligated to despise him. I hope he does opt out of his contract and go elsewhere so I can return to being a fan of his.

He is just hot. Period. He has been the greatest player in baseball for a long time. This shouldn't come as a huge surprise since he has 100 homers more than Bonds did at this point in his career.

When people say "a-rod will never be appreciated by NY fans until...", I kind of get a chuckle. Going to a ton of Yankees games, they tend to cheer who deos well and boo who doesn't. He gets a curtain call every game now. Sure he is not like Jeter in terms of popularity, but, oh well. In the end, if a-rod stays healthy and wants to, he can break a lot of records and finish as one of the best players ever. I suppose leaving NY gives him the chance at getting right to the top 5 of the best players ever since he could return to shortstop. Either way, I won't be surprised if the guy hits 800 homers and gets 5 mvps as an infielder.

So much for A-Rod going anywhere. The guy is hotter than the sun. He's a man on a mission this year and so far it's mission accomplished.

The point about a-rod being appreciated is more directed at the whole attitude around him, not their attitude when he hits a home run. He's a lightning rod and it also speaks to the typical fairweather Yank fan:tongue:

I'd actually like to see him move to a different team just so that he could move back to short and we could see a rivalry between him and Jeter. I think that would be an amazing storyline for baseball in general. Well, NY sports at least.
