With Cedeno turning down the Tigers' latest contract offer of $13.5 million over three years, Detroit is now seriously considering dealing away the 26-year-old outfielder. Cedeno will be a free agent at the end of the season, but could get dealt to the Mets before then, according to a report in the Newark Star-Ledger. Cedeno, who spent the 1999 season with the Mets, would give New York the leadoff hitter they desperately need. The Tigers likely wouldn't be able to get much more than probably a low-level prospect in return for Cedeno at this point due to his pending free agency.
I am a big Cedeno fan fan and i can't wait until he comes back:fro:
for all those that have said Cedeno would never be what he was with the mets he all ready has 28 stolen bases and is starting to hit again and to Phil the Phan i remember back on HB I said that Cedeno would have a better year than Zeile and so far Cedeno looks to be the better player
