The NFL’s commissioner released its kick-off weekend and Thanksgiving triple-header national TV schedule early this week. A kickoff-week Sunday and Monday night double-headers were also announced.

The NFL will kick-off its 2007 season with a Thursday game.
Since 2004, the Superbowl champion opens up the season at home with a Thursday game.
The Colts and Saints are slated to face each other on that Thursday, September 6th.
Those two teams were the fan’s favorites to play in last season’s Superbowl.
Well, this is as close as it gets for those hopeful fans as they were granted their wish in some way.
The game is scheduled to be broadcasted on the NBC network at 8:30 PM (ET).

The Sunday night (September 9th) double header will see the Superbowl runner-up Bears travel to San Diego to play the Chargers at 4:15 PM (ET). FOX will televise this game.

The second game of the double header will have the Cowboys host their division rivals N.Y. Giants at 8:15 PM (ET). That game will be seen on NBC.

Monday September 10th will also feature a double header.
In the first game, the Ravens will play the Bengals at 7:00 PM (ET).

The second MNF game will have the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers square off at 10:15 PM (ET). Both games will be aired by ESPN.

Three games will be played on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 22nd.

The Matinee’ game that will be shown on FOX at 12:30 PM (ET) has Brett Favre’s Packers going against the Detroit Lions on the road.

The second “Turkey day” game will feature the Dallas Cowboys battling the Jets at Texas Stadium. This game will be televised by CBS at 4:15 PM (ET).

The third and final game that will close this Thanksgiving’s NFL delight will be between the World Champion Colts vs. the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome.
This final game will be shown on the NFL network with a scheduled kick-off time set for 8:15 PM (ET).

The NFL will release its full regular-season schedule by the end of April at the latest.
