Ok, enough with the BS pre-season reports/articles, lets talk shop - what did you Met fans think of the game? Gotta be happy with Glavine totally dominating at age 41. Nice win

It was a great win by Glavine and the team. Carlos Delgado and Paul LoDuca provided plenty of offense.

Glavine started off great. They just have to hope somebody else can step up tp pitch also. He can not win them all.

The general consensus is that the Mets rotation is fine with Glavine, we'll see with El Duque and Maine and no clue with the last two spots. Pelfry is inconsistent but does show some good moments. The hope is that the Mets offense will carry the pitching rotation until Pedro comes back. :notme: I just don't know what this season will bring but I do hope the rotation settles down. I still would have liked to have seen Heilman in a starting role... but that's not a popular view.

The pitching has looked pretty good so far. Hopefully the weather tonight won't have too much of an effect on the team. It's early but it seems to be shaping up to an exciting season.

Game 3 is almost over, and so far I am quite happy with the team. Glavine was superb.....Duque was quite fine.....Maine got in a bit of trouble, got out of it, then shut down the side next go around. He's looking good.

The team has some nice offense going (it was nice to light up Looper!) and there have been some absolutely fabulous defensive plays by our boys.

We're only three games into the season, but I like what I'm seeing so far. Should be a fun year. :)

NY outscored St. Louis 20-2 in that three game series. Wow.

I think that performance should shut everyone up about the average age of the team for awhile.

No doubt this is a good team, but the season is still young. Lets see how they do the rest of the 159 games.

Im not downplaying them. They are off to a great start. But the season is still young.

1 more thing and then I'll be done.

I was watching Baseball Tonight last night and they said the Mets pitching staff was not really challenged because of the cold weather and the Cardinals bats are also in a slump.

So we will see what they do against the Braves. I am expecting a good series.
