And you are.......?
That's right. Go into another team's forum and trash talk. Way to introduce yourself.
It's not nice, and it's not something we do here at Addicts.

It's ok, his team has already proven that trash talking doesn't work out too well for them.

I'm a Braves fan. I am showing no bias when saying this. Just going by the first 8 or 9 games of the season.
Scott.......how do you go into another team's forum and trash talk them. Especially when your team is 2-6 and the Mets are 5-3.
Truthfully, I think the Mets have a much better lineup and pitching staff. Now, until your Phillies can prove different, go back to your forum.
Oh, by the way, even though the Braves are 7-1, and the Mets are 5-3, and the Phils are 2-6, I still believe the Mets are the team to beat. They earned that right last year by winning the Division.

Our line-up is one of the best in the league in my opinion, and I think we have a strong rotation , but the one thing I am concerned about is our bullpen
who which gave 3 games away so far
We'll just have to wait and see

Scott, I like to see debate about baseball like this, but why don't you try a different route. Instead of being rude and badmouthing another team in their forum especially when they don't deserve it, try going to the Phillies forum and getting some talk going on about them. Start by telling us why you think they have the best lineup and the best starting pitching....I happen to disagree BTW. I guarantee if you write something it will get read and talked about. Just some helpful hints.:wave1:

Just about every Mets fan on this board - or fans of most teams, for that matter - have been die hards basically since birth. I myself went to about 20 games a year in 1991, 1992, 1993, 2992, 2003, 2004, etc. Years in which the team barely won a double digit amount of games. We're finally being rewarded for loyalty, but we're out supporting our team no matter what they're doing.
So learn a fact or two before talking out your ass.

Robin has also perfected the art of time travel ;)
So what are things like 1000 years from now in 2992?

Yo Scotty boy, if you think Met fans are only now coming out of the woodwork, then you know NOTHING about Met fans. Like Robin, I too went to about 20 games in the years of 2002, 2003 and 2004. I went to all the Sat home games (Sat plan holder) and quite a few Sun games with a few Fri night games sprinkled in. Oh, I failed to mention that I lived in the Boston area at the time and drove the 3.5hrs every other Sat. I lived in the Boston area up until last year and managed to go to several games.
So when you talk about Met fans and how you are suddenly noticing them, don't assume that just because YOU NOTICE THEM NOW automatically means there are more of us. We've ALWAYS been there - I attended loads of games where the attendance in those years was 50K plus. You are just extremely shortsighted my friend. :hmm:
Hey Robin, share your time travel secrets please. :D

Aren't there ALWAYS more Met fans in Philly for Met/Philly games too? My understanding of fairweather baseball fans in NYC was that they all went the Yanks way and that Mets fans all suffered through no matter how bad the team was. That's how I am at least.

Uh yeah, pretty much. Funny though, now with all the Philly Phans all left the game yesterday while their ultra competitive "team to beat" team was losing. :hmm:
Where's Scotty boy now? :doublefin

You got that right!! That's the precise definition of die hard versus bandwagon.

When you watch a Mets/Marlins game from Florida and throughout the entire game the only chanting you hear is "Let's Go Mets" I'd say your fans are diehard and not fairweather.
