It is a shame. The Pirates section was once the second busiest section of this board. Now it is a dead as the Pirates. It is also a shame the the Pirates owners do not truly realize how many fans they have really lost over the years. We no longer have fans, only people that want bobble heads and fireworks displays.

The Pirates used to have a really good fan base, but the lack of them making any big moves to truly improve the team is hurting them pretty bad. The only real bright spots on the Pirates are Jason Bay, Freddy Sanchez and as of right now Ian Snell, but other than that I struggle to find any other impact players on the team. Its a shame because Pittsburgh is an AWESOME sports city and they deserve the Pirates of old
