We have not seen a Triple Crown winner since Yaz back in 67, so it has been 40 years since the last time this amazing award was presented to anyone. So who do you think will be the 14th player to win the Triple Crown in his career?

For me I personally think A-Rod will be the next Triple Crown winner. The man hits all over the field, has more than enough power, plays on a team where the players get on base, and the man has one swing a$$ swing.

Man, I don't know if I see anyone doing it. I suppose A-Rod's the best choice right now as he currently has two of the three...(though it usually takes more consistency from A-Rod to beat out Ichiro at any time for the rest of his career.) Perhaps Magglio...if he starts generating more power later in his career. Perhaps some HGH's?

Oh, fo sho. You definitely make me ask questions of my own opinion that I probably never would have; and I'll always respect somebody who can make me do that.
After all, I've never learned a single thing in my life from someone who agreed with me....

Very well spoken, bravo  You learn from others as long as you open your mind. I have LEARNED many things from people in all forms.

You know who might have a chance at the Crown if he stays healthy...............Ryan Braun (ducks the flames)

It'll be a long time before we see one.

I think V-Lad can do it if he hit bit more homeruns, he'll have a good chance.

A-Rod is the only one I can see doing it anytime soon.

I don't think it's going to happen, honestly.

I think you guys are all right that A-rod has the best chance, but the highest he's ever hit is .316, and that's definitely not good enough.

I think that one of the best chances for it to happen again just passed, unfortunately, while Manny Ramirez was at his best. '99 he led in RBI with 165, 2002 he led in BA with .349 and 2004 he led home runs with 43. The problem here was that he was surrounded by other players who could also destroy the ball in their own way.

Other than in '99 with his RBI, the years he led in triple crown areas were not his career highs. It's too bad he's beginning to age, and his power is beginning to drop. He is still a great hitter, however, but his chances are over.

I think the only player I can see with the ability to pull it off is Albert Pujols, who's future remains uncertain but has the greatest potential I've ever seen.
43 HR, 124 RBI and a .359 BA at age 23? That's about as good a chance as any in this time. Just get him someone that can hit behind him.

Nice post and I agree with you about Pujols having a better chance at a triple crown then Alex Rodriguez. It is to bad the injuries caught up to Rolen to the point where he can't protect Pujols in the batting order.

I believe he meant to put a question mark after HGH...in reference to my comment...thereby inferring that Mags need not take them if he would just cut his hair in order to run faster.:)
