Honestly I dont get caught up in all that crap.. I'm a baseball fan first and a Sox fan second, I could careless what others say about fans , teams and what not.

I find that if you listen to what others say then it ruins the joy of the game.

Whatever, I'll say it. Red Sox nation is a joke. I go to a Mariner game and half of the stadium is rooting for the Sox. I ask two random fans who were decked out in Sox gear if they could name anybody on the team previous to 2004, and they obviously couldn't. I have a feeling that 85% of these so called "die-hard" Red Sox fans are the same way. They haven't suffered or even know what it's like to really stick with a team through the tough times. They root for them because they don't like the yanks, and they think they're hot stuff. Red Sox Nation is full of it.

Okay, just read Caple's article (which if you can't find it is titled "Shut Up, Red Sox Nation"), and it's spot on. If you don't agree that Red Sox fans have become the most arrogant in baseball or that they behave like the loud and dumb Yankee fans I used to despise in my ballpark, then you haven't been paying attention to the sport......which wouldn't surprise me if you're a Red Sox fan.

Red sox Nation is a freaking joke....................yeah thats right a Sox fan is calling out the Nation.

It is really starting to pi$$ me off now, while I like fact that Sox are well represented over most of the country this representation is terrible and needs to STOP. You have 3 kinds of fans.......die hards, basic and then the ban wagoners................and sadly most of the so called Sox fans are on the ban wagon. I have noticed ever since the Sox won in 04 there are fans everywhere, but yet they dont have the slightest clue about the team other than they won in 04 and there is a rivalry between the Yanks and the Sox........come on my damn cat knows more than that. I used to think the Yanks had the most arrogant fans.....................well the Sox have taken that spot over big time..........not only are alot of the Sox fans arrogant, but they are ignorant as well. Now I'm not saying ALL Sox fans fall into this rant, but a good majority do and it is sad. You should not call yourself a fan unless you truly enjoy the sport and the team..........not because it is the cool thing to do.

Now I'm guessing some people are wondering where this is coming from? Well today I was at the local mall picking up a case of cards I ordered. While I was waiting for the sales rep I was just browsing around and I over heard a group of people talking about the Sox. Now the ages ranged from I would say 10 to close to 30 and just about everything they said was DEAD wrong..................SOOOO according to these retards Yaz was traded to the Yanks, Roger Clemens was drafted by Baltimore , all Yankees fans are stupid and dont understand baseball, and my all time favorite is.......the Yanks have a TERRIBLE team :wtf1: This sounds like a typical "bash the Yanks, because you are jealous crap"

To my dismay they were purchasing bus tour tickets to a Sox game... what a waste of seats. I remember when it was shameful to be Sox fan, it was basically child abuse :)....now it is the cool thing to be, WTF is happening to the world of baseball.

Then to top it off I was listening to a caller on Sirius Baseball Talk and this SOOOOO called Sox fan started bashing the Yanks on how they are up tight pricks that dont have a team, just high paid players and they stink BLAH BLAH BLAH................but then he reached real far up his butt and pulled out "The Sox front office is the worst they have ever had Theo is to young and does not know what he is doing. Gorman should be back, he knew what he was doing"............................................I ask again WTF!!! Now whether this was a true fan or not, I dont know but this ignorants is rampid all over and it is sad.

Please people get off the ban wagon and let us true fans keep some of our dignity, all you are doing is making the true baseball/Sox fans look like jerks.

LMAO at Yaz bein traded to Yankees. I completely agree with all of u. I was lucky enough to become a fan two years before they wont eh world series, otherwise, people probly wouldve called me a bandwagoner too. But im not, im happy to say, i know more about baseball and Boston than everyone in my town.
