Being a native of Colorado it even feels better then all the times the Yankees have made it in my 55 years of existence. This was the 15th year in the making for the Rockies and I also have went thru about two long droughts for the Yankees. 65-75 and 82-94 that they didn't make the playoffs.

May be since 99 since the Braves made the WS but they had a shot for 14 straight seasons and were in the hunt most of this year.

the long break and the momentum with the red sox was what killed the rockies in the World series.
