Fantasy Doc - on the Jaguars @ Steelers' game:
The Steelers completed the first portion of their mission; getting into post-season action. Being able to go far enough is a completely different story. Pittsburgh lost one of its main offensive weapons in Willie Parker when he sustained an injury a couple of weeks before the end of the regular season. Their once dominant defense has lost a step or two particularly against the running game, which is Jacksonville’s main mean of offensive production. Pittsburgh figures to rely on their good passing game to have a chance of advancing to the next round since Davenport (Parker’s replacement) is not as explosive as Parker was and won’t instill fear in the Jags’ front line. While Pittsburgh has its share of concerns in the running department, Jacksonville has one too many starting RB in the NFL’s second best running attack in MJD and Fred Taylor. David Garrard has continued to impress by keeping his cool in the pocket and has avoided any major costly mistakes while directing the Jags’ attack since taking over as the team’s #1 at the position. These two teams’ level of play drifted in opposite directions entering the post-season; Pittsburgh’s has shifted south while the Jaguar’s is at full speed ahead. The cold weather in Pittsburgh this week will only help Jacksonville’s playing style. Jaguars win on the road.

Silver Dragon - on the Redskins @ Seahawks' game:
The Redskins defense has been allowing an average of 91.1 rushing yards per game this season and should prove problematic for an ineffective Shaun Alexander and back up Maurice Morris. The Seattle run defense hasn’t been bad, but they will have to up their game against Clinton Portis who’s 1262 rushing yards is ranked 6th in the NFL and who is fourth in rushing touchdowns with 11 this season. Add an effective Todd Collins, who has yet to throw in interception or lose a game since filling in for Jason Campbell, and Matt Hasselbeck may have his work cut out for him in this match up. The Seahawks may have been 7-1 at home this season, but chances are the Skins won’t be willing to give in easily.
Redskins finish on top of a hard fought road game.
