Just to start some discussion, who would you list as your top five all-time greatest college football runningbacks? I'll leave the criteria up to you. My list, comprised of only players I saw and subject to change, is:
1) Herschel Walker, UGA
2) Billy Sims, OU
3) Earl Campbell, TEX
4) Tony Dorsett, Pitt
5) Marcus Allen, USC
I'm not even sold on Allen. I considered Dickerson (SMU), White (USC), Williams (TEX) and Rogers (S. Carolina). There are almost certainly others I am not thinking of, but I reserve the right to amend my list.

Bo Jackson Auburn
Herschel Walker, Georgia
Earl Campbell, Texas
Tony Dorsett, Pitt
Dorian Glenn, SRU
Dorian who??? haha.. this guy was a DII running back who reminded me a lot of barry Sanders. He rushed for well over 1000 yards all 4 years he was in college and even hit 1400 one season. I know that doesn't seem like very high numbers, but keep in mind that this happened mostly as a 3rd down back for the first 3 seasons as he shared time with Stan kennedy who ALSO ran for 1000 yards each season.

I forgot all about Bo. Hey, we agreed on three players. That's got to be some kind of record.

I believe that Bo is simply the greatest running back to ever play the game of football at ANY level. It scares me to think about what he would have done if he had played only football and not had his career cut short like he did.

Wow! Now that's a strong statement. Bo was terrific, but I've always thought that Walker was the best college runner I ever saw. He just was the complete package of power and speed. In that sense, Herschel and Bo were very similar. Imo, Walker really should have won multiple Heisman Trophies.

I'd say Ki-Jana Carter deserves an honorable mention at least. 8.3 YPC (something like that) isn't too bad.
I don't think he's top five, but I do have to believe he is top eight, top nine.
Since I've followed college football, he is the best runningback I have seen. He was just dominant.
Bo Jackson gets my honor as number one. He was probably the best two sport athlete ever, in any combination of sports.

Ki-Jana was very good, too. I think that Penn State offense he played on was the best offense I've ever seen. All-Americans at the skill positions (Carter, Collins, Brady, etc...), a number of first round NFL choices in the group, as well.

Without a doubt that offense was the best I've ever seen.
Besides the three you mentioned, Brian, there was Brian Milne and Jon Witman both at the FB position. Inside the five, the Lions just could not be stopped. They had a player for every possible role.
I'm not sure, but Jurevicious and Engram were around close to 1994, I don't know when either was in the program. One of the two was probably around in 1994. Scott also wasn't a bad receiver.
Not only was the offense loaded, but Kim Herring was in the 94 secondary, along with other players I am drawing a blank on right now.
I am also pretty sure Conway and Pidgeon were on that team.
The State team of 1994 had everything. Great offense, good defense, good special teams.
I think a solid case could be made they were one of the best ten football teams ever in college football.
(Penn State WOULD have beaten Nebraska that year BTW)

Shouldn't Rickey Williams or Ron Dayne be mentioned? They are the 2 top runningbacks in terms of yards!

He may never make the All-Time list but here is one guy to keep an eye on;
Chance Kretschmer
Freshman running back for UN Reno lead the nation in yards per game. Against UTEP he rushed for 327 and 6 TD's
