The Tigers have called up rookie shortstop Ramon Santiago from Toledo. He was hitting over .300 for the Mud Hens. The word is it's Santiago's job to lose. Shane Halter now finds himself on the Tigers bench. With Santiago's promotion and Truby's addition, the Tigers have changed the entire left side of their infield.

Trots, what do you think about Truby?
He has a boatload of potential, but you have to wonder if he has the maturity.

IMO Truby could be an every day player. He's got the glove, and bat to be a full time starter.
That was a good trade though on both sides.:sperm:

Santiago has a ton of potential, but i'm suprised he was called up before Infante. Ramon was hurt most of last year, but was one of our best prospects 2 years ago.

I really don't know what to make of Truby. Couldn't grab hold of the job in Houston and seemed mediocre in MTL. In spite of that, I think he's better than Paquette, so I'll consider it an upgrade.
As for Santiago, he got the call because he was hitting in the minors, unlike Infante who was really struggling with the bat. Again, I think he's an upgrade defensively at the position, so that's a positive sign.
