in this movie, hayden plays this rebellious very f*cked up teenage kid who hates everybody (he does it SO well omigod)........it's hard to play "angry" AND look really hurt and vulnerable at the same time....not many actors (esp. young actors) can pull it off so naturally....he nailed it, as if he weren't acting! i swear, he MADE the movie! meanwhile, it's really about kevin kline's character (hayden's father in the movie)......

go see it and tell me what you think......

well, i just finished watching it and OMIGOD he was awesome! ya shoulda warned me though, i was expecting just to get to see my hottie (wish i coulda been the one to put the sunblock on for him :uhoh: ;) ) but instead i cried throughout the whole thing! :crying2: by the time i was finished, i had a big ol' pile of tissues sittin' next to me :pout:

funny, but i was just thinking about that the other day....i remembered how much the Joey-and-the-guy-who-hit-her episode on Dawson's creek affected you (the father issue) and i thought "hmm...this movie's SO gonna affect her if she thought the joey episode was moving...."

and i guess i thought it but i forgot to mention it!! :uhoh::ohno: yikes.......

so anyway, WASN'T IT AWESOME???:uhoh: i mean, OH...MY....GOD!!!!!!:angel:

wasn't that movie so freakin GOOD?? i loved loved loved it!!! and i cried my eyes out too!!!! (i think i used up a box of tissues!)

and wasn't kevin kline GREAT??? i loved that whole story line with his work firing him after like 20 yrs of working there....and i loved how he trashed the place!!:biggrin: then fainted outside the building......

i loved how it changed his outlook on life, how he realized he was never there for his son (omigod, how freakin HOT was hayden!!!!! didn't you wish you could be the girl jumping in the shower with him!!!) I LOVED ALL THE CHARACTERS!!!

and how bout the sleezy uptight neighbor who ends up being this pedophile or whatever he is....getting turned on by teenage boys!! ewwwww!!! that was so gross!! (the car scene)

OH and how bout THE END:crying2: omigod, were you crying your eyes out or what!!!!!!! i tell ya, that movie stayed with me for days!!!

there were only 2 scenes i so coulda lived w/o seeing... the first one where kevin's in his tighty whites. dude needed to put on some clothes...ewww! and when hayden was in the car doing whateva... i was like noooooooooo, not my anakin! how could she send me to watch my anakin doing that???

and yeah, i totally wanted to be that girl getting to shower with him. she was a bit weird... who showers with such a hot guy but doesn't touch him and had to be talked into kissing him just once? :confused: shit, i woulda been all ova him :uhoh: ;) :P :kissyou:

it was so cute at the end when he put the christmas lights up, damn that house was bright! and then dove into the ocean... i woulda been scared to death!

i loved that he gave away the house to that girl... such a sweetie! i personally woulda kept it as a reminder of my father... but that's me... although... that girl was in a trailer home... she needed it more... tough choice to make.

it was so funny when that kid feel off the roof causa the girl's ma calling :rotflmao:

ya know what was great, when he finally smiled. i think it only happened once or twice in the movie (when he walked in on his parents)--he's got like the bestest smile :love:

i can't think of exactly what my fave part was. there were so many great parts to it! what about you... fave part?

DID YOU KNOW HE WAS DOIN THE NASTY WITH HIS G/F's MOM????? :uhoh: i honestly had no idea!!! cuz the way they shot the scene, it looked like he was *suspicious* about the girl and hayden hanging out so much....but really he had the sneaky look cuz HE was the guilty one!!! OMG!!

yeah, i coulda lived without the scene in the car..... they didn't even do anything, but again the way it was shot, it made your *imagination* think the worst!!

HAYDEN IS A KICK-ASS ACTOR!!! oh, i think they said he got nominated or won the golden globe for that part!

as for my favorite part(s)..... well, i'll have to see it again b/c there were so many..... but there were a couple of really beautiful moments (subtle) when his father FINALLY won his trust.....and you could see the love between them.....i think i liked those moments the best........:)

hayden was on jay leno the other day!! well, it was a late night repeat so i guess it must've been from 2 weeks ago.....

he was so NORMAL omg!!:uhoh:

he's so down-to-earth and....almost *dorky*....but in a really cute way :biggrin: he still lives at home with his parents and brothers and sisters and he made it sound like he still has to do his chores or he'd get in trouble!:uhoh: :biggrin: he's so cute:love:

i read somewhere about when he found out he got the part of anakin the first things he did and he sounded so normal and down to earth.

i didn't know he was screwin' the mother. he told hayden to stay away from the daughter, so i had no clue he'd be with the mother. i was like :yikes: the daughter took it a lot better than i woulda when she found out. although... i guess like mother like daughter... both a bit slutty. cmon, who takes off their clothes and hops in the shower with a guy who ain't even a friend really?

i too loved the parts when they were starting to get close, it was so sweet :biggrin:

that was me right after i saw "Life as a House"!!

so you can imagine how i reacted when i was in this movie theater with my sis.....walking by the Star Wars poster (months ago, before the movie came out)....and then seeing that gorgeous face on the poster!!!:uhoh: i was like "OMIGOD IT'S HIM!!!":uhoh: and my sis is like "him who?" and i'm like "the guy in Life as a House!!! I LOVE HIM!!!"

and she was all "whateva" :hmm: ........but now, months later, she's seen the movie too..... and liked it so much, she went and BOUGHT the video!! she's like "who is he?? i love him!! ......man, he can ACT!" (my sis also did some acting training and thought his performance was so inspiring)

yeah, i was lucky i caught him on jay.... i was just channel surfing the other night....couldn't sleep..... then i heard jay say "and stick around, we've got hayden christensen on the show tonight....."

so of course i hadda watch! i was so happy the timing was perfect:biggrin:

what kind of accent does he have???? it's like a mixture of Canadian and Boston......:confused:

i wonder if he's gonna be doing anything else besides star wars episode III. i know that production has already started, but it's not coming out til 2005, i don't wanna wait that long to see him again!

btw, i could be wrong, but i think he's body has gotten better. ya don't really get to see it much with all those jedi ropes and all, but there's one scene with him in bed having a nightmare... not wearing a shirt... :P i had a few inproper throughts during that scene :uhoh:

he does a really great job acting wise, although my friend is a retard and said he was too whiny. of course, this is coming from a crybaby, so who's he to say? he looks sad and vulnerable a lot, but he's supposed to, he also has this tough/strong thing going on most of the movie which is just so sexy :love: he's just such a great actor... he deserves lotsa awards for this part.

i can't wait to see episode III! why's georgie always make these damn things 3 years apart? ugh :eviltongu

oh don't worry, i BET he is FLOODED with offers!!! he's probly finishing on a movie right now!! Hollywood is probly knocking down his door, throwing scripts and money at him! cuz he has such a range....to be able to do drama (he can cry! and he looks hot too! :biggrin: ) and then do action flicks like star wars...and i can see him do comedy as well! and of course all the girls are wantin' him now so there'll be romantic comedy scripts....... we'll see what types of movies he chooses to do..... cuz right now, he can have his pick!!


i saw a clip of Star Wars where he's getting some kind of driving lesson (i think?)..... the movie looks great....i can't wait to see it!!

nah, no driving lesson, he's been driving since was a lil kid... it's a jedi thing, he's just got that skill i guess... u might be thinking of the clip where he jumps outta the "car" which is a really cool scene btw.

i dunno what the lines are like there, i saw it up at school (opening day and absolutely no lines--sometimes hick towns ain't so bad ;) )

hopefully he'll end up like harrison ford and be huge after star wars, and not follow in luke/leia's food steps and pretty much have lil shit roles or do nothing at all... i'm thinkin' he'll be huge though.

i looked it up... he looks young, but he's only 8 months younger than me... him and i could have us a lil somethin' ;) :love:
