Shannon Stewart would look good hitting #2 for the Bucs.

At this point, it deserves a trial. It wouldn't hurt the Pirates offense, that's for sure.

Stewart is batting .293 primarily as a DH but has played LF mostly. He has done well in the #2 hole for the Jays. He brings speed and an average to slightly below average arm. Move Giles back to RF and keep Rios as the first option on the bench--he has proven he can spot at all three outfield positions. Then you have the utilityman du jour--Mackowiak, Wilson, Hyzdu, et al. to play if you have an ache or pain that requires a couple of days off.

The devils always in the details! Details, details! Via trade of course. It takes quality to get quality. As long as its not Benson, Wells, Fogg, Williams, Ramirez or Giles. Everyone else is available.
