Brady Anderson released by Tribe
Detroit, MI - The Cleveland Indians announced on Tuesday that they have released outfielder Brady Anderson and recalled outfielder Chris Magruder from Triple-A Buffalo.

Anderson appeared in 34 games this season for the Indians and batted only .163 with one homer and five RBI. Anderson struggled lately with only nine hits in his last 71 at-bats.

The 25-year-old Magruder was acquired from the Texas Rangers on April 4 and has appeared in 34 games with Buffalo this season. In that span, the switch hitter batted .271 with three homers and nine RBI.

Good ridance. Brady wasn't doing anything at all for us, although I doubt Magruder will do much more but, hey, we have young talent to groom.
