I think that the Bulls will trade their #2 pick. The people in Chicago are ready for a win NOW team. They are tired of waiting. I would not be at all suprirsed to see thhe pick traded to minnesota for a package involving Scerbiak.

I some what agree. They could use another vetran to go along with Jalen Rose, and Baron Davis, and Andre Miller might be available at the point guard position. But a talent like Jay Williams wouldbe hard to pass on. He's very mature for his age.

I disagree, Shawn. I don't think the Bulls would trade for any SF, PF, or C. They already have Fizer (I don't think he was in the Indiana trade), Curry, and Chandler. Trading the pick for Sczerbiak when a PG (or possibly SG with Rose being a FA) is a bigger need doesn't make much sense.

I am hoping by some miracle the Bulls can grab Yao Ming.

Tigers#1

If they shouldn't trade for a Center, than why grab Yao Ming?

Because you can't teach 7'5, nevermind someone 7'5 who is as agile and athletic as he is.

Besides that, Curry (I think it's him, it may be Chandler) projects more as a SF than PF or C. Then slide Curry to SF, Chandler to PF, and Ming to C and you have a front court with an average height of close to 7 feet.

But they already have several big men, and have no point guard. Plus too many big men taken early in the draft, fail!

GiveHyzduashot
05-22-2002, 04:25 PM
Then trade Curry or Chandler for a big man, some team would give up a sturdy PG to get him.

there are a lkot of people in chicago who actually agree with me. IScerbiak was just a thought... because he hates it in minnesota, and will probably be traded this offseason.

I do not think that Yao Ming is a guy who a team would want to take until the Chinese government lifts the sanctions they have placed on him. Personally, I think he will be a flop.

Tigers#1

Why does Szerbiak want out?

GiveHyzduashot
05-22-2002, 04:41 PM
Oh I'm not doubting people disagree with you. I'm just saying it doesn't make much sense to trade for another front court player when you already have a good nucleus of big men.

The Bulls DESPERATELY need a PG, and it makes more sense to trade the pick for a PG than for a front court player.

Tigers#1

The Bulls could resign Travis Best, and have Jamal Crawford coming off the bench!

well, the other person I have read rumors about is Baron Davis. Apparently, he is very unhappy with the Hornets move to New orleans, and he wants out.

Tigers#1

And he's eligible for an extension next year, which the Hornets don't want to deal with.

Chandler is the one who could turn out to be a SF, but I dont want Ming. Shawn Bradley is tall, but that doesnt suddenly make him awesome. Id rather stick with the most polished player in the draft, Jay Williams.

If they are giving up the #2 pick, and the chance to get williams who i think will be a star, i dont know if i really want scerbiak. This team has a lot of guys who can play the 3 4 and 5 positions, and what they need is a PG.

And if they neeed i PG, I dont see a point in trading their pick if Williams is right there for them. I mean, theres gotta be a reason cleveland is willing to trade their star for him.

i agree. the main talks i've heard are for Baron Davis and Andre Miller. either way (whether they keep the pick or not) they're really looking for a PG. if the hornets offer Davis or the Cavs offer Dre they might give up Jay, but i think they'll keep the pick. Jay Williams would fit in perfectly and he'is gonna be a star

I can assure you the Cavs haven't offered Miller to the Bulls for their draft spot. They like Andre a lot and are going to try to sign him before they even think about trading him. So if you hear a credible source saying Andre is in trade talks, then the Cavs won't be able to sign him.

i hope they dont offer him to the bulls. andre is a good player and all, but i think jay is goin to be a star

i've only heard rumors because there's talk the Cavs might not be able to resign Andre. But i'd rather have Jay :)...although Baron would be nice

well who would you rather have? baron or jay?

well they're both gonna be stars  ...but Baron is already a star and nothing is "guarenteed" with Jay...but Jay is one of my Duke boys...

...to be safe I'd rather have Baron, but that depends on what we'd have to give up to get him. i doubt the Hornets trade Baron for Jay straight up. Baron could be a superstar and is a sure thing, Jay isn't...yet :)

Well, I'd be pleased to stick with Andre. He's my favorite in the league right now. I still think he's the second best point guard in the league next to Kidd. Although my definition of a PG is different. I consider guys like Davis and Williams guards who happen to play the point.

well i wouldnt mind any of the 3 to be honest. but i think williams could mold well with tyson and eddy.

well the only way i see Houston not taking Yao is if the Chinese government screws it up. that would be bad for the Bulls cause Houston would probably trade thier pick to some other team who wants Jay :ohno:

well i think houston has to get him at the #1 pick. if they trade down(which i heard they might try to do with the bulls or somethin...i dont know its really confusing), then china might not let them take yao. they want yao to go #1.

stupid Chinese government ;) :bash:. it would be nice if Chicago traded for the #1 pick though, so we could be sure that no one will steal Jay from us :). But, China won't let that happen...:ohno:

yea but the thing thatd suck is wed have to give up ERob Crawford or Fizer just to move up ONE PICK!

this is one of the most complicating drafts...:hmm:

well if houston trades thier pick and we don't get Jay, i'd say draft Yao and trade him, or trade the pick altogether.

bd811
05-30-2002, 11:32 PM
yea im sure we could get something for yao. i just dont want to trade him to the knicks(one of the likely teams wed trade w/), cuz i dont really like any of the players wed get in return--well mostly i dont like the money they make.

milky_way
05-31-2002, 01:50 AM
most of the Knicks players are overpaid, so i wouldn't want any of em either. hmmm...who else would want Yao...

bd811
05-31-2002, 04:53 PM
well almost any eastern conference team would take a chance on him probly...

Yes, the chinese will let Yao Ming play in the NBA.

I don't think Houston will trade their number one pick unless they get a bona fide big man. The Rockets need one badly, and now they have a chance to take the best one available that comes with a 7'5 frame and has a good shooting touch from outside. I really can't see Houston passing that up.

If the Rockets do trade the pick and some team selects Williams, I'd take Yao Ming and try to resign Best. I think Ming is going to be a good player, and I would REALLY like a Ming/Curry/Chandler front court. If you don't sign Best, then trade Fizer for a good PG.

Rose is a FA too, right?

yea after the loosers gave up that Olajuan but he was not producing

nope. Rose signed the max contract in Indy for like 6 years. He's all locked up for the Bulls :)

That's good. The Bulls were competitive after the Rose and Best trade.

Assuming the Bulls draft Williams, next year's team could be a heckuva lot better than recent teams. Williams, Rose, Fizer, Chandler, and Curry is a good mix of talent.

I doubt if I'll see 3 Bulls games all season.

When Carray died and MJ left the Bulls, my cable provider dropped WGN for the Mets' station.

The only time I can see a game is when (now) ESPN broadcasts a game, and that won't happen often.

yea you are right the only time nbc had a bulls game was a bulls vs wizards game, because MJ was playing.
