You think they would have given Bonds a good old fashioned barracks blanket party.

unprofessional? how did they ever come up with such a obvious observation. i think what boehringer did was out of line because he did it in the open. but maybe it is just a culmination of frustration since they have been faltering some. wilson is not so great anymore i guess he got a couple hits lately

but this

is not acceptable

i wonder if he can ever learn how to hit? they sent him down before and he is not reverting to old form. granted 217 is better than 176 or whatever his average was in the last few weeks.

The thing is that you can accept Jack hitting .220-.230 if there are 6 other bats in the line-up that are producing. Ditto with Pokey. If that is the case then their gloves are making a valuable contribution to a winning team. But there isn't room for a third lightweight (KY). It's easier to get production from 1B than a middle infielder, so something HAS to give there soon.

Hermy is doing well, Giles is ripping the cover off the ball, Kendall is picking up the pace so there is hope. Now we need Aramis to get it going and for Craig Wilson to get more consistent playing time.

your right the whole teams bats have been weak. im wonder how much truth there is to the trade rumors swirling maybe we could get a bat that way?? i hope they can go on another streak and try and do some damage control. i dont know why ky is there either only reason i can think of is cause hes a loyds kid. wilson needs to play all the time. i like hermanson! i hope he keeps this up its about time they had some good things happen. another thing why the heck is villone still with the pirates? he always pretty much stank and now hes still stinking.

The only way we're going to get a bat is to give up pitching, which may be why Villone is still around, that and his relatively low salary. Also, he can suck up innings when a starter gets knocked out early. My big concern about getting another bat is that we don't get a guy who can hit but is weak defensively (Gabe Kapler, Rusty Greer, Jeremy Giambi, Wil Cordero, et al). Our D is improved and I'd hate to see the trend toward an improved D sacrificed. BTW, according to this morning's Hartford Courant Brian Giles is one of four players the Yankees have supposedly inquired about but I can't see them giving us anything worthwhile in return like Nick Johnson and Brad Claussen. Johnson has 7 HR and 24 RBI but is only hitting .230.

going into the game a few nights ago, KY has been hitting .333 since May 8th when he changed his stance with only 4 Ks. Not sure what he has done the past couple of games, but it is worth at least giving hima chance to see what can happen.

Jesse, Jack has been hitting the ball extremely well since moving into the #2 spot. To lift your average by .041 points in a week, is pretty good stuff.
