it sucks that they ended up losing basically because of one bad pitch, which, in fact was not really a bad pitch. Vina simply went down and got it. We need to take better advantage of the scoring chances that we get. Too many men left in scoring position. I can not, for the life of me, figure out why in the world Mike Benjamin is still playing on this team.

Well, I know Lloyd likes having veterans on the roster, even sucky ones. Maybe they figure come trading deadline someone will want Benjamin? I don't know IM, I'm with you on this one. I'd stick with Nunez and Pokey myself.

it's ridiculous... yesterday, he starts Benji at SS even though Jack was on a tear... then today he puts benji at 2nd.. umm, mac, have you looked at benji's average lately?? it's pathetic. (not that Nunez or pokey are much better, but still...)
I also noticed something disturbing about Craig Wilson today. It seems, to me, that he is standing to straight up when he bats. Then, as the pitch comes in, he is dipping, and getting way under the ball where he usually either misses, or hits it straight into the air. I wonder why our genius batting coach has not noticed this yet?

I think it is because our genius hitting coaches are in fact, not really geniuses. I know it's hard to believe . . .
They are really horrible. No one seemed to think much of it, but how about when Kendall had to talk to his Dad to get advice on his hands being too high in his stance? Apparently, our people who watch him everyday didn't have time for someone making 10 million dollars a season.

I am waiting for McClatchy to give DL full faith to bring in his guys. Clark would be gone the next day.
I know it sounds crazy, but Dale Sveum, I think, would be a very good hitting coach. He's a tireless worker and knows what he's talking about. Several Curve players have said Sveum is a great person to have around.

Point well taken on our hitting coaches but let's not forget that these guys are trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear in many cases.
