GAME #50 FINAL SCORE: DETROIT TIGERS 4 - INDIANS1 WP = REDMAN LP = BAEZ at Jacobs Field

BASEBALLS TO:

Mark Redman - 2nd career complete game, both against the Indians, both within one week. Surrendered 1 run, 4 hits, one BB, 4 K's. Mesmerizing the Anemics with junk, junk, and more junk. Twice retired 9 in a row.
Randall Simon - You are now definitely a Certified Indian Killer. 2 hits including a double and RBI and a run scored.
Wendell Magee - 2 for 4 with an RBI.
Bobby Higginson - 2 for 4, including a double, one run scored and keeping the hit streak to 8 games.
Damian Jackson - first homer of the year and a double, 2 RBI that virtually finished the Indians in the 5th.
Ellis Burks - solo homer in the second inning, Indians sole offense.
Eddie (Lopez!) Perez - three runners caught stealing, two on the strike 'em out/throw 'em out variety.
Mark Wohlers - worked out of a jam started by Rincon in the 8th, striking out two batters with runners on 2nd and 3rd and only one out. Now let's see if you can do that again when we're ahead next time.
GOOFBALLS TO:

Danys Baez - 8 day layoff affected rhythm in the fateful 4th and 5th innings. lack of support didn't help. 6 IP, 4 Runs, 7 Hits, 6 K's.
Jolbert Cabrera - 0 for 4 and a day to forget. GDP in the ninth and airmailed an ill-advised throw in the 8th trying to get the runner at third. I'm surprised you were not charged with an error. If your butt wasn't already sore I'd give it a swift kick.
Bruce Aven - 0 for 3. Congratulations! You went GDP #57 in the 5th!
Bruce Aven - Congratulations! You get two for not only going GDP, but also for doing it on the first pitch after Thome worked a walk! Your approach s ucks. You leave little wonder why you have spent so much time in the minors at 30 years of age. Who do we have in AA Akron?
REALITY B ITES:

Cleveland Anemics are 13th in the AL with a .240 team BA.
The Anemics are 12th in the AL in runs scored.
Today's starting outfield began the day with a combined BA of .139. Which we're pretty sure struck fear in the heart of Mark Redman.
The bottom third of today's lineup went a combined 2 for 9 with two insignificant singles.
Anemics hit into GDP #58 today with Cabrera's ninth inning feat.
Cleveland left 0 runners in scoring position. Mostly because they didn't score. Check that. Mostly because they couldn't hit. Again.

Is anyone actually reading this? Should I keep doing this?
