Maybe give Rivera a 15 game stretch to see what he can do? Or maybe a taste at Nashville first?

I think that would be a mistake. Rivera absolutely must spend some time at AAA first. I wouldn't be opposed to giving him a september call-up, but nothing more than that. There is a reason why he has over 2300 ABs in the minors so far. This is the first season where he has really had any success.

I agree. This guy has never shown any power until this season. I know the Bucs are desperate for some production at 1B but I think in the long run it would be a bad move for him and could set him back. Let him go to AA and get a couple hundred AB there at least and see how he does.

i agree actually we have seen what rushing a player does to there confidence. if there is another season it will be beneficial to hold up.

Well, it remains to be see if it will continue or not, but Craig has been hitting. No need to rush him if we can get some production anyway.

If it were up to me, I would leave him there all season no matter what happens. Then I would call him up in September and let him get a few at bats. Then he would be in AAA next year, possibly for the whole season. I would only consider bringing him up if he were absolutely tearing the cover off the ball for at least half a season.

Good idea 00. Let Craig play everyday and bring up Carlos in September and hand him the Nashville job next year. I'm there. Let's hope Littlefield is too.
