Jim Thome - 2 homers, a solo shot on back-to-back with Ellis in the 2nd inning and a 3 run crusher in the 4th. 4 RBI. Both homers were vintage Thome, measuring 474 and 463 ft., respectively. Looks like Jim-Bob is starting to heat up!
David Riske - struck out the side in the 6th, 1-2-3, to not only redeem himself from last night, but to get the win in relief.

C.C. Sabathia - sorry to see you could not stand prosperity. Given a 6-1 lead after 2 innings, but you couldn't hold it. A balk in the first set-up the Tigers' first run. 4 IP, giving up 6 runs, 5 earned.
Travis Fryman - throwing error in the first left Damian Jackson safe, and after the balk and Young's hit, it was 1-0 Detroit.
