they're down 8 with 26 seconds left :pout:. they need a miracle...too bad Reggie plays for Indiana.

Good luck to your Nets, Tunin. They deserved to move on. However, I am going to rant about my Celtics for the rest of this post.
To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I did enjoy the run, but just feel the C's could have done so much more. I've been crying about their three-point centered offense, which completely failed them the last two games. What did they shoot 10 for 32 in Game 5? It wasn't any better tonight.
Why the @#$% would a guy Rogers size spend his night on the perimeter? Strickland showed some courage by getting to the goal on occasion and it led to some rather easy points. The Nets were surpised, as they didn't think the C's ever came inside the arc.
Pierce was invisible. Clearly, neither he or Walker is ready to take the next step. Both maybe amongst the top 20 players in the game currently, but for all the hype they weren't there when they needed to be. Next year, guys, open your mouth AFTER you win something. In Boston, I don't even think hang conference championship banners anymore. There is a reason for that.
To me, this team needs an inside offensive force and a point guard. The C's need someone to force people to cover the post and take the heat off of the outside shooters. A legit inside scorer would help this team enormously. If he could rebound offensively, I'd be thrilled.
Anderson has been a gutty performer, the best in a Celtics uniform tonight, but someone needs to create easy scoring chances both in transition and in the half court set. Both Pierce and Walker spend too much time dribbling the ball. IMO, that has lead to far too many forced plays (turnovers and offensive fouls) as both have the desire and responsibility to score. Let someone else bring the ball up the floor, distribute and penerate. That should give the Big Two good open looks from the outside or easy inside chances. I hear some good PGs may be available this off-season. Go get one.
I'm sure I'll reflect on this post-season fondly. In a couple of days.

I'm glad you vented Trots, you saved me the trouble. To be honest though, they went farther than we could have expected.
This was one of those games where their shots just would NOT drop.
THANX CELTICS FOR A FUN YEAR!
