apparently nyposts.com thinks the series has already ended :hmm:
"They beat the Celtics on the parquet 96-88 to clinch the Eastern Conference finals, 4-2, and advance to the NBA title round starting Wednesday night in Los Angeles"
hmm...i wonder if they're in on that conspiracy :nono:

Hey, if my C's can't make it, at least I hope for another historical team. I just can't root for Sacramento.

...this might be just bitterness on the part of me becuase i absolutly hate the Lakers, but IMO Sacramento got robbed in this series. the better and more deserving team is not the one going to the Finals :nono:
...but, anybody else think Mike Bibby is just amazing? i mean, he was like the only King to make a shot in the crunch time!
Go Nets :pout:

yea hes amzing.
in this game tho, the lakers deserve credit. the reffin wasnt as bad although there were some questionable calls. This last game came down to free throws.
but this game shouldnt have happened anyway so whatever!
GO NETS!!!

this game was officiated fine, but the point is (as you mentioned) there shouldn't have even been a Game 7 in the first place. The Kings deserved to win in 6, but the refs pulled it to 7 where thier inexperince killed them. what i don't understand is how some playoff experienced players (i.e. Webber, Divac, and everyone else on the Kings other than Bibby) can't hit a free-throw or make a shot in the crunch time, and yet the one player who had 0 playoff experience before this year is the one player who is keeping them in the game. Bibby was the MVP of this series and this playoffs, and he outpreformed every Laker out there...but his teammates refused to give him any help whatsoever in the crunch time

and they really should have taken more advantage of the fact that Kobe wasnt really dominant tonight. Shaq was on and off. They shouldve guarded guys around the 3-point line more, too.

you're right, Kobe and Shaq weren't really on thier game, but neither was half of the Kings lineup. Peja went cold after a relatively good first half, Christie was never in the game, Hedu really did nothing, Vlade made some stupid fouls...only Webber and Bibby and Jackson were playing well. And I'll never understand why Adelman kept Bobby out the entire third quarter when guys like Christie are struggling so much. But this game was a real defining moment for Bibby. Even after the game, all the Laker players were congratulating him, because he was just amazing. These playoffs transformed Bibby from "role-player" to "superstar."
...as for guarding the 3-point shot better, the Lakers weren't smoking from 3's either. The Kings were really being killed by Shaq inside, but there's nothing you can do about that. i do think Divac should have guarded Horry better by the arc though.

Isn't Bibby a FA? He'd look great in Celtic Green.
Congrats Lakers.

yea no one woulda thought the trade for Bibby would have worked out so well for the Kings. Suddenly in the playoffs there were people comparin him to Stockton!

Christie needs to be shot, plain and simple. He was trying to do WAY, WAY too much last night.
Jackson should have played almost all of the fourth quarter while Christie was on the bench. Christie playing as much as he did while Jackson sitting as much as he did was terrible, terrible coaching by Adelman.

yeah, i'll never understand why Adelman sat Jackson for the entire thrid quarter and the end part of the fourth. it made no sense at all . i mean, i can understand that he'd want a good defender on Kobe, but at the end Christie offensively was really hurting them. they gotta have Bobby Jackson taking those threes. He woulda made em all :fro:

can you imagine him with the Pacers :devilfire
nah, i can't imagine the Kings not resigning him. i know they want him back and i can't imagine him not wanting to come back. the Kings would be idiots if they let him go :uhoh:
