Jose Valentin: Committed an error in the 5th when he overthrew first base which allowed Fryman to reach and go to second with one out. We got 4 unearned runs after that.

Ray Durham: Also committed an error in the fifth by dropping the ball at second base allowing Omar to be safe. We got another 4 unearned runs after his mistake.

Einar Diaz: He was charged with an error when Liefer struck out on Paul Shuey's wild pitch. Einar retrieved the ball and proceeded to throw it past Thome at first into right field to allow Liefer to reach 2nd.

Paul Konerko: He went 0 for 4 today in the cleanup position making the third out in four different innings.

Travis Fryman and Russell Branyan: Both went hitless today.

DEFENSIVE PLAY OF THE GAME:

The fan in the left field bleachers who caught the homerun one handed. What a play!
