don't forget that in 2000 Indiana was in a very similar position that New Jersey is in. And Indy came back to make a hell of a series out of it (they almost pushed it to 7 games).

i'm rooting for the Nets only because i hate the Lakers. I don't like the Nets either but the reason i don't like the Nets is because they knocked off the Pacers, and the reason i love the Pacers is because i was cheering for them in the 2000 Finals because i hated LA. So really it comes down to is that i don't like the Nets because I hate the Lakers. Confused? :) I don't like Jason Kidd punching his wife, but he was a man about it and apologized to his family, his team and his city and did what he was supposed to do. He can't take it back, but afterwards he did what he should have done and he said what he should have said, so i respect him for that.

wow, you're pretty far behind lal! that was BIG news! Kidd punched his wife last year while he was with the Suns. i'm pretty sure he punched her when he was feeding his son TJ french fries. Jason ate one himself and his wife scolded him and he got pissed off and punched her. But I've heard different versions of the story, so i don't really know if that's true.

Jason wife called 911 because he had punched her, chased her upstairs, kicked in her bedroom door, and finally she was able to hide in the bathroom. She told police this was gonna be the LAST time. He'd hit her many times before. The Suns traded him to Jersey. Realizing his career was in jeopardy, he starting flaunting his family all over the place to save him.

He is a jerk, but not as big a jerk as her, for staying with an abusive man, endangering her child for money.

wow, i didn't know all that happened :uhoh:. i thought he only punched her because of french fries.

Jason and his wife went through counseling after all this happened (he ended up missing a couple weeks because of this) and they look happy now. but what do i know, all i know of his wife is what they tell the press.

The lakers are going to win no dobt about it. I have a heck of a predicment I hate the lakers but Shaq is my favorite player. Talk about tongue and cheek.

I can't stand Kobe. I would have a little more repect for him if he does away with his ego. Especially after Shaq and his dispute last year. Kobe I think got injured then the lakers started winning while kobe was out. Shaq is just going to killer know since he has found his free throw.

well we will really never know which was better, but the pistons beat the showtime lakers, who were one of the best dynasties ever.

but i just realized something. there werent really that many 'dynasties' in NBAs history, so saying the Lakers of today are in the top 5 in history doesnt say too much anyway.
