The Nets are going to take this championship...they in my opinion have a more scrappy team than LA as LA is basically a dynasty..The Nets have heart...i believe Kidd can lead his team to a championship

they were world champions last year.. this is a new year. Did people last season say "oh come one... the Ravens will win every game because they are the defending champions??" I don't think so.

The season after Jordan retired, did people say "You can't beat the Bulls, because they are the defending world champions!"

I don't think so.

The Lakers are World Champions until someone knocks them off, same as AZ Snakes, Pats, etc...

Jacqui, I agree with that. What I am saying is that backing up your prediction with "they will win because they are the defending champs" is a pretty absurd statement.
