The speculation has started that the Red Wings are considering acquiring Bill Guerin this off-season. The rumor has it they will be competing against the Avs for Mr. Guerin's services. Anybody else hear where Guerin may be heading?

IAB, there was another big name the Wings are pondering, but I can't remember who? Can you think of any other big name FA's this year? There is also some Cujo talk, but it centers around Hasek's departure, which isn't certain.

I've heard the Cujo rumors. I have also heard Tony Amonte's name mentioned.

Guerin is a FA, and I believe Sundin can also be a FA ...

Yep, it was Holik. Sounds like the Avs and Wings may get into a bidding war over him, especially if the can't land Guerin. The thought around here is McCarty is a free agent and may price himself out of town, a la, Martin LaPointe. I expect Igor to retire, too. No foundation for that thought, just a guess on my part.

Julie, any of the guys above being mentioned with the Isles?

You might as well take Lemieux's name off that list. There's no chance in hell he signs anywhere. He shouldn't even be listed as a FA.

Agreed. He's not going anywhere.

Now that I think about, it may have been Teemu Selanne I heard in the Red Wings rumors. Ahhh who the hell knows?? :)

I don't see Selanne coming here, but with this team you just never know for sure.
