CINCINNATI (AP) — The Reds traded outfielder Alex Ochoa to the Colorado Rockies on Thursday for second baseman Todd Walker and outfielder Robin Jennings, a move that opened room for Cincinnati's top prospect.

The Reds also called up outfielder Adam Dunn from Triple-A and announced he will start in the outfield.

Dunn, 21, has hit .334 with 32 homers in 94 games at Double-A and Triple-A. He homered twice during the Triple-A All-Star game and hit one during the Futures game in Seattle as part of the All-Star festivities.

Ochoa hit .289 in 90 games with seven homers and 35 RBIs. He recently broke out of an 0-for-31 slump that was the longest by a Reds player in 21 years.

Walker hit .297 in 85 games for Colorado with 12 homers and 43 RBIs. The Reds could use another middle infielder because shortstop Barry Larkin is out indefinitely with torn groin muscles.

Jennings hit .301 with seven homers and 31 RBIs in 49 games at Triple-A. He was designated for assignment to the Reds' farm system.

Not too sorry to see Jennings go, but Todd Walker leaving means there's some more moves coming. Perez will probably be next, and that will leave the Rockies short of a couple middle infielders.
