OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Oakland Athletics recalled infielder Mark Ellis from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday and sent infielder Esteban German back to the River Cats.
Ellis appeared in four games with the A's earlier this season and was 1-for-4, starting once at third base on April 18 against Anaheim
German hit .200 in nine games in Oakland with no RBIs and no extra base hits. He made eight starts at second base.
