I hate it because it makes the division races unfair. The Reds play the Angels this weekend, while the Cardinals play the Royals, who stink, and the Reds will never see them. That means the Reds are playing a harder interleage team, and if the the Reds get swept and the Cardinals sweep and end up winning the division by one game, then that is crap because the Reds face all hard interelague teams. The Reds do face the Rangers who the Royals don't face, but the Reds play the Rangers only 3 times compared to the Cardinals playing KC 6 times. Talk about being fair. :hmm:

I liked it more because I could care less about the Al players right now I would rather see my team face a new pitcher or player so that they would be able to check him out for themselfs. Like the Mets and Dodgers they will never face eachother agin this year now if the Mets face the DFodgers in a playoff game I would like to know about the behaviors of Ishii and where Isterus is more lilkey to hit the ball. Interleague play just throws everything out of wack:hmm: and Like goreds said the divison race i unfare. Like one team can face interleague teames like the D'Rays, Royals and Blue Jays when another team in that devision get the short stick and faces the Yanks, Red Sox and M's. :barf: :barf: :barf: :barf:

Life and baseball are 2 different things. Each team in each division should play the same teams the same amount of times. Only then will you find out who is the real divisional champion in case of a close race. Why should the Cardinals get to play a very sucky team 6 more times than the Reds? The Reds should get to play KC 6 times, because think about it. If the Cardinals sweep KC both times, and would happen to win the division by any less than 6 games, then if the Reds would have had the chance to play them, they either could have tied for or won the division. If they didn't, then at least the race was fair.

so baseball is fair then since you said life and baseball are different? I don't think so!!.. if your team is so good itt shoudlnt matter if you are playing a good team or what you want to call a bad team.

there would be no possible way that each team would play the same amount of games. Unless they do it by division that might work. like the NL east plays the AL East or is that how it is done?

i dont mind it, but goreds and liter are right. its like they are giving one team a better shot at the division than another.:hmm:

I wouldn't mind it as much if each team in the divison played the same teams, the same amount of times. If that is not possible then i say get rid of it.

I can't decide how I feel about interleague play. Certainly some match-ups are more compelling, but overall is there much difference between another Tigers/Royals set or a Tigers/Marlins series? I'm not racing down to Comerica Park to see either. However, when Bonds visits Yankee Stadium or Schilling takes the hill at Fenway, the better part of interleague play is obvious.
I do agree with Goreds, that if your competition gets the Phillies, but you get the D-Backs, that doesn't seem right. Especially, in light of the unbalanced schedule. If we are having teams in the same division play each other more often in order to determine a true champion, the quirks in inter-league play make the unbalanced schedule seem contradictory.
There needs to be a way to make sure each division plays another in a home and home over two years. The NFL does that type of thing with their schedule, so I'm sure MLB can find a way to do the same.

I like interleague play but I think they could cut down on the amount of division games so ther could be more interleague matchups.

I dont think so. the world series should be the best NL and best AL not the best of both worlds ;) i do think they should play some though but no way more.

The A's lead interleague play with 53 wins. ...
They just completed a sweep of the Astros. Most of their wins in past years have come against the Rockies, Giants, Dodgers, & Diamondbacks. Some pretty good NL competition.

What I KINDA like about interleague is how Pinella will get to come back to cincinnati, and how, if healthy, Griffey will get to play Arod and the M's. I don't know if that will happen though. Other than that I hate it, and still think it should be trashed.
