ESPN (http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/gen/wire?messageId=8622890) -- Seeking a replacement for retired Cris Carter the Minnesota Viking signed Derrick Alexander.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Derrick was waived by the Kansas City Chiefs on June 1 for salary cup purposes.

With the Chiefs last season he had 27 catches for 470 Yards and 3 Touchdowns.

He will take some of the presure off Moss.
Randy will still see plenty of double teams no matter who the other wideout is.

A team would have to be stupid to not double team moss.
