Is Pedro Martinez done?
The rumors are scary. The three words of doom for a pitcher's career have been heard already: "Torn Rotary Cuff".
I sure hope not. It's not confirmed, but usually when these kind of rumors start circulating, well.............
The Rotary Cuff isn't like the Tommy John elbow thing either. Pitchers can come back from that elbow stuff and still have many good years. But the Rotary cuff..........ouch...........
When a Red Sox team physician was asked how Pedro might have injured himself, his answer was: "He throws too hard. He puts 110% into every pitch."
Maybe the little guy just had only so many innings to give, and maybe he's maxed out.
I sure hope it's just soreness, and he comes back. I want to see Pedro pitch in the world series.
