(1-2, 7.12)

(Sorry, any Padres fans that may stop by.... that would be the young and vivacious Dennis Tankersley - and I do mean young... he's 23 years old! )

Pads won last night, so I hope they don't think they're on a roll.

:uhoh:

LET'S GO O'S!!!!!

:jump: :jump2: :dance2: :cooldude:

Uh-oh. The defense was unable to get a double play through and the Padres manufactured 3 runs in the 2nd inning. C'mon, Scotty!!! Where's that Scotty we saw on Opening Day?

Let's hope the offense can come through this time... bottom 2nd now, Jay Gibbons with a leadoff walk... we'll see what Tony B can do!

MarylandMan

Thanks for starting a Play By Play!!! Nice to come home and find out what's been going on.

O'S NOW LEAD, 6-4!!!! TOP OF THE 6TH

Hmmmmm... Scotty is relieved by Willis Roberts. I guess this was because of the 2 men on base?

Oh, I see. He got the first guy to ground out to 9er, then he walked Ron Gant, and then he walked Bubba.... so, 1 out, 2 men on base..... oh, crud. Willis walked Wiki Gonzalez.

Bases loaded. 1 out.

Yikes.

COME ON, GUYS!!!!! DON'T LET 'EM SCORE!!!!

WHAT'S WITH ALL THE ERRORS TONY BATISTA'S BEEN MAKING LATELY?!?!? WHAT WAS THAT?!?!? ALL I CAN SEE ON GAMECAST WAS THAT IT WAS AN ERROR!

So, *sigh* a run scores on the error.... was it a throwing error?

That was Hubbard that scored. Then the outs were a fielder's choice at 2nd, pop out, and pop out.

But the score is now tied.

And Marty Cordova is leading off the Bottom of the 8th. Aaaaaand he flies out. Brook Fordyce at the plate.... HEY!!!!! DON'T HIT THE NICE CATCHER-GUY!!! 4dyce hit by pitch.

And here comes BORDY :lust:

Ooh. Fast Jerry Hairston running for 4dyce. Does this mean that Geronimo is coming in the game. Cooool.

And now, back to the game. Bordy at the plate.

COME ON, TOOTS! SHOW US WHAT YA GOT!!!

Aaaaand he sacrifices to third, and Jerry moves to 2nd.

Mighty Mel at the plate.

GREAT WIN FOR THE O'S!!

Mel Mora keeps coming through. I'm going to stop doubting him now!!

Good pitching (mostly), good hitting, but Tony B needs to stop making so many errors!!! He has one in each of like the last 4 games!!!

Anyway, I think we really needed this win. Too bad Scotty didn't get the win, but at least Julio got the save, and the guys on the radio said he was hitting 100 mph tonight! The crowd really got into it.

Heheh... I think I heard on a local talk show that the speedometer at Camden Yards is always inflated by 2 or 3 mph, so as to get the crowd more excited... Oh well, at least he was hitting 98 or so. Thats pretty damn good anyway! :)
