CINCINNATI (AP) -- Wide receiver Michael Westbrook worked out Monday for the Cincinnati Bengals, who are looking to improve one of the NFL's worst passing offenses.

The Washington Redskins let Westbrook become an unrestricted free agent after last season, when he caught 57 passes for 664 yards with four touchdowns.

The Bengals scored a league-low 226 points last season and were tied for last with 12 touchdown passes. That added up to their 11th consecutive season without a winning record.

The Bengals have a deep, young group of receivers led by Darnay Scott, who turns 30 before next season and didn't attend voluntary minicamps last month. Scott missed the 2000 season after breaking his leg in training camp, and caught 57 passes for 819 yards with two touchdowns last season.

Scott will earn $3 million in salary this season.
