I had heard that Clevelnad was going to trade Bartolo Colon to the Reds. Have you heard about this? As a life long Reds fan I'd love to see the Indians ace in the Reds uniform!

I heard it earlier in the season. I haven't heard about it so much lately. I think that as long as cleveland stays in contention they will not be giving up colon because he is their ace.

I think that a smart move for the Reds would be trying to get Esteman Loiaza from the Blue Jays. I think he would do good in the Reds' rotation.

One thing I have said since the day it happened was the Reds should not have traded Denny Neagle. If the Reds' would have kept him they would have a proven ace on their club, who would win 15-20 games for them. Neagle won't win that many games in colorado, so it really would have been better for him and the Reds, but I guess all he is out for is the money.

I agree whole-heartedly that Neagle should never have been traded! They need more than just Loaiza. Colon could be what they need to put them over the top. But just 1 average starter like Loiaza won't help them alot. It will help but it won't make them a powerhouse! If they do get loiaza they will need another decent starter to compliment him! Lets face it Loaiza is not a dominant ace like a Colon or a Schilling or some of the other aces around the league!

Your right, but with the Reds payroll they would never be able to afford Colon probably after this year. They will have to go for a mediocre pitcher rather than one of the better ones, because I expect the Reds to be contenders for years to come, and you don't want to trade Casey or Encarnacion and then lose the pitcher you trade them for. I think that if we can get Loiaza and maybe another decent 3 or 4 starter, and if Dessens keeps it going then the Reds will be a definete contender. Keep in mind that in the minors there is Lance Davis. He will be a good pitcher one day. Chris Reitsma has also shown some outstanding potential this year. I think that in years to come the Reds will be set pitching wise, IF they can get one or 2 more proven starters.

The only way the Tribe is trading Colon to the Reds is if the deal includes Dunn or Kearns, probably Dunn. In other words, the Reds don't want to lose Dunn, so there will be NO trade. The Indians would be stupid to trade their ace if they want to rebuild their team around their pitching.

Reds are not trading Dunn or Kearns. No way I would trade them for pitching unless it is a Curt Schilling or someone like that, and I don't see that happening.

You're exactly right, that's why the Reds won't get Colon.

Uh Mr. Indians fan, there have been talks between the tw and Kearns or Dunn neither 1 came up from either side! Who did come up was Sean Casey and Juan Encarnacion. The Indians know that they will not get Dunn or Kearns. Hell they have even shopped Colon to Milwalkee!
