NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Yankees recalled right-hander Brandon Knight from Triple-A Columbus Saturday and sent down right-hander Brett Jodie one day after he lost his major league debut.
Jodie's stint with the Yankees lasted only 13 batters. He allowed three homers, including a leadoff shot to Jose Cruz Jr., in a 10-4 loss to Toronto. In all, Jodie gave up six runs and seven hits in two-plus innings.
Knight made two relief appearances for the Yankees last month, allowing six runs and 10 hits in five innings. He was 9-6 with a 4.09 ERA for Columbus.
