Steelers sign Terrance Mathis

No link, other than it's a one year deal for 750K. I hope this move doesn't force Edwards off the team. Mathis is good, but if someone is going to force Edwards to be cut, I wish that it would have been Moore.

the thing about moore is that we already have him on the team. He is just about 10 years or so younger. Moore would not make a good slot receiver, and that is what we need. Of the two who they were looking at, I think I prefer to have mathis.

Well that's true, Shawn, but I also think one advantage Moore has is he could teach Plaxico HOW to use his body to get into position. I really don't think Plax knows how to use the 6'6 body he has (however tall he is).

the thing is though, we need a guy on the team who can be a productive receiver. Moore would be able to teach Plax, but he would also have to be the #3 receiver. We just can';t have moore and plax on the field at the same time.
