Hmmmmm. Another extra innings game. These guys aren't lying down and rolling over, I'll say that for 'em.
So Co9 was outta the game tonight, placed on the 15-day DL :ohno: after pulling that hammy last night. Gibby was at 1st. And he hit a 3-run homerun in the 8th.... tying up the score, which held until the 10th, when Pat Burrell singled off Buddy Groom (2-2) and went to third on a single by Doug Glanville. Scott Rolen followed with a liner to right-center, scoring Burrell.
Scottie Erickson allowed just two runs -- one earned -- and three hits in six innings.
"Erickson threw well,'' Orioles manager Mike Hargrove said. "If it's an American League game, he's still pitching. He had something left, but we were down 2-0.''
The O's are now 6-2 in extra innings games.
Bordy went 0 for 4 at the plate tonight, and Scottie went 0 for 2.
