FINAL SCORE: 4-2, ORIOLES!!! :jump: :jump2:

Travis Driskill, man...... :luvkiss: :clap1: How cool is he?!?!? A 30 year old rookie, and he got his 4th win today! The guy's 4-0!!!

(Plus he scored a run!!! - After being walked! )He slid into home to score the run. He had this to say about his eventful 3rd inning trip on the basepaths:

"I ran the bases last year in Triple-A, so it was no big surprise to run the bases. But I felt old afterward." :rotflmao:

Here's more about his adventures, from the AP Wire Game Recap:

After retiring the first eight hitters, Adams walked Driskill in his first plate appearance.

"My ball was moving and sinking really well, I just got a little riled up,'' Adams said.

With Driskill running on a 3-2 pitch, Brian Roberts doubled to center field. The ball reached the wall but Driskill still managed to have some problems scoring.

"Travis had a huge lead (with first baseman Travis Lee playing off the bag), he got a big jump and still looked like he needed oxygen by the time he got to third base,'' Hargrove said. "He really needed that big lead.''

Driskill didn't exactly agree with the scouting report.

"I think I put myself in line for a pinch-running appearance somewhere down the line,'' Driskill said, with a sly grin. "It's not easy. It seemed like it took forever to get home.'' :rotflmao: I love this guy!!! What a great, dry sense of humor!!!

Doug Glanville of the Phillies had this to say about Travis afterwards: "He cut it, he sunk it and had a really good split change, and he had really good command..........He kept us off-balance just enough to keep him in the game."

Pat Burrell, Met Killer, apparently is trying to add the O's to his murdered list.... hit his 17th homerun in the 4th inning.

Baltimore added a 4th run in the 9th on an error on Scott Rolen :uhoh: That run was scored by Mr. Mike Bordick, who made the little Bordick kids happy on Father's Day by getting a nice juicy double for himself. (BA back at .220) He came into the game for Melvin Mora in the 7th when Mighty Mel twisted his ankle. Damn. Mel's hit safely in 10 of his last 12 games with three homers and 11 RBI. The O's are dropping like flies!!! :uhoh: I hope Mel's not going to be out... well, he's got an off-day to rest that ankle.

Jorge Julio got his 13th save in 17 chances.

Next up for the O's: Yikes. The D'backs. And they get BOTH Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling. Geez. :hmm:
