Im surprised to see no threads about Castillo's hit streak. How far do you guys think he will go?

Turni posted one on the Marlins board. Btw Castillio has gone nuts. What dose he have a 32 game hit streak this could give him a jump on the MVP voteing ( not that he has a huge chance of getting it )

I would hate to make a prediction, and not be right, but I am thinking 40 games would probably be about the absolute limit. Anything is possible though.

57.
Seriously, I'm saying 35 games. Sometime he is going to run into Maddux, Glavine, Padilla, Vazquez, etc. and go hitless.

33.
I think that Robert Fick will pass that though.

I say his streak will be over tomorrow night vs Baez...
Reasons??
No one else has choose this day:biggrin:
Plus Castillo hits .19 points lower vs righties (Baez is righty) .12 points lower at night (nightgame) and hits only .264 at home (guess where they are playing);)
So I'll go out on a limb and say the steak ends at 31:biggrin:

Hi, welcome to the Addicts, sheffield.
You should set up the polls in the Around the Horn forum instead of this Rookie forum which is for newbies to come to introduce themselves.

We actually have a similar thread going right now in the Around the Horn Forum so I'm just going to merge the threads...

Hmm, I have 2 sources that say Baez is starting and 2 that say Finley is starting....The weird thing is if you go to MLB.com team sites, if you go to the Indians site they show Finley starting and the Marlins site shows Baez...Go figure....So depending on who starts I go with it ends at 31 or 32...

I'll say 39 games. DiMaggio's record is still a ways away. if Castillo beats it, he might even win a battingtitle. And the way he steals bases. He might have a shot at mvp.

It ended tonight.
If anyone said 35 games (I forget who said what; hell, I don't remember what I predicted), they get the grand prize.

Hell, I predicted 34 games but I was surprised he extended his streak to 35. Great job, Castillo!
