As much as I love Koufax, I think Johnson has earned the right to have his name mentioned in that category. (In fact, many pitchers do deserve to be compared to Koufax.) What Big Unit has done in this offensive era is remarkable. Guys like him, Maddux, Glavine, Pedro, Schilling, Clemens and others have thrived during an explosion of scoring that may be unequalled in the game's history.
I love the old-time hurlers: Big Train, Big Six, Koufax, Young, Gibson and the like, but some of the players of today really do merit recognition along side those legendary pitchers.

Randy Johnson is just awesome and has been just as dominating as koufax in his prime considering the eras they pitched in.
